  • What does the car rental cost include?

    Every car rental company has its own conditions of providing the services. That is why options included in the rental cost can differ depending on a particular case.

  • Are there any requirements to the driving license?

    Yes, there are special requirements. At the moment of receiving a rental car, the driver must be not younger than 21 years old and not older than 75. Concerning some classes of cars, the minimum age of the car renter shall not be lower than 25 years old. At that the driver shall have at least 2 years’ driving experience. We recommend getting the international driving license in order to exclude the risk of the refusal in providing the rental car.

  • Is it necessary to tell the air flight number?

    It is recommended to tell the air flight number if you wish to get a car right at the airport after arriving in the country. This information is necessary for a car rental company in order to prepare the rental car on time. If you do not know the air flight number at the moment of booking a car, you can tell it to the car hire agency representative later. However, you are obliged to tell the number within not fewer than 3 days before the start of the rental agreement.

  • I need a car with additional equipment. Can I point out this condition when booking a car?

    Some car hire companies offer to choose additional equipment. It is possible to reserve this equipment upon booking a car for an additional payment which is pointed out in the process of confirming the order. You can pay the service at the moment of receiving the car. Travelocars is not liable for the availability of additional equipment at a car rental company. That is why we recommend you making sure of its availability at the moment of getting the car.

  • How can I learn the make, color and fuel type of the car I am going to hire?

    According to the booking conditions, the color of the car as well as the fuel type is not guaranteed. The make is pointed out for information purposes in the process of confirming the car reservation. However, if the chosen car is not available, the car hire company will provide you with an analogous car. We can inform the car rental company about your preferences concerning the make of car and type of fuel.

  • What are the conditions of paying for fuel at the moment of the rent?

    As a rule, the car is rented out with a full fuel tank. The car should be returned with a fuel tank as well. If the customer does not have time to fill in the car, he is obliged to pay the deficient amount of fuel according to the rates established by the car hire company. In the USA, Portugal and Spain you can be provided with a car with a fuel tank paid in advance. Its cost will sum up with the rental cost and shall be paid upon receiving the car. In this case, you are not obliged to return the car with a full tank.

  • Where can I get a car?

    The address, where you will receive the car, and name of the rental company are pointed out in the voucher you can get after confirming the reservation. After you have made an advance payment, the voucher will be sent to you by email at once.

  • Can I get a car later than it is stipulated in the agreement?

    You must come to the car rental store on time. You can be late but for not more than 1 hour. An additional payment can be charged in the event of the delay. If you have arrived at the place and the car rental company office is closed, it is necessary to contact this company or Travelocars specialists in order to negotiate the time of receiving the vehicle.

  • Can I get a car during non-working hours?

    The majority of car rental companies rent out cars 24 hours per day for an additional payment. The size of the additional payment for receiving the car during non-working hours can be specified in the rental conditions or at our contact center.

  • Can I pay the whole sum right at the moment of receiving the car?

    Every particular company has its own conditions and service payment order. As a rule, vehicles are not provided without an advanced payment. That is why you need to pay a part of the rental cost in advance. The size of the advanced payment can be learnt upon choosing a particular car.

  • Can I get a car near the hotel?

    As a rule, vehicles are driven up to airport. The delivery of a car to another place is possible upon a preliminary inquiry. Please, point out your wishes and preferences in the comment to your order when booking a car.
  • Can I refuse from additional services when receiving a car?

    When booking a car, you have an opportunity either to choose additional options or to refuse from them.
  • Can I contact you if I have problems when receiving a car?

    Of course you can. You can call any phone number pointed out on the website. We work 24 hours per day without weekends and provide our customers with assistance both when providing the rental services and after this.
  • Can I return the car before the end of the rental term?

    Yes, you can, However, the sum of money for the unused rental time will not be given back to you.
  • Who is liable for road traffic violations and who shall pay fines?

    When hiring a car, you assume the liability for all violations of road traffic regulations you will commit. The company is entitled to collect the administrative expenditures as well as the amounts of fines from you.
  • What documents will you need to get a car?

    In order to get a car, you need to have a voucher for car rental, driving license and bank card titled in the driver’s name.

  • Insurance types included in the rental cost

    THEFT PROTECTION (TP). In the event of the car theft, this insurance type limits customer liability.

    COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW). In the event of damaging the rental car, this insurance line limits the renter’s financial liability.

    THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE (TPL). This is an insurance of civil liability in the event of causing harm to third parties.

    The limitation of liability means that the renter is financially liable within the limits of a stipulated franchise. A franchise is monetary means not covered by the insurance policy. These means are blocked on the credit card. The sum, corresponding to the amount of damage, will be taken off from the blocked sum of money. For example, if a franchise is equal to 500 Euro, the insurance company will repair only the damage above this sum.

    The amount of a franchise is established depending on the insurance line. As a rule, mirrors, lights and tires are not included in the standard insurance package and their damage shall be paid by the customer. If the car was not damaged during the rental time and is returned in the same appearance as it was when being rented out, the franchise will be entirely released.

  • Additional insurance types

    SUPER TP. This insurance line waives all liability from the car enter in the event of car theft.

    SUPER CDW. This insurance type waives all liability from the car enter in the event of damaging the car.

    PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI). This insurance line compensates the physical damage the driver and/or passengers have suffered when going in a car as well as when boarding and swaging the rental car.

  • What is the compensation of the deposit?

    The agreement for the compensation of a deposit is an agreement concluded between the customer and the Travelocars company. You can conclude this agreement when reserving a rental car by phone or directly on our website. The compensation of a deposit covers additional expenses the car hire company lays on the car renter in the event of losing the keys, car theft or damage in a road traffic accident. The amount of these expenses can be the following:
    — damage in a road traffic accident or as a result of the car theft is compensated by Travelocars in the amount of from 750 Euro;
    — damage to the car in the process of stealing customer’s personal clothes is compensated in the amount of 750 Euro. The company is not liable for the items the customer left in the car.
    — theft, loss or damage of car keys are compensated by the Travelocars company in the amount of up to 200 Euro.
    You can get additional information about the advantages of deposit compensation at our specialists at the customer service department. Please, take into account that the car rental company does not know that you have concluded such an agreement. That is why you can be offered an additional local insurance policy when receiving a car. If you have an agreement for deposit compensation, you do not need this policy.
  • What are the advantages of the agreement for full deposit compensation?

    The agreement for full deposit compensation is an agreement concluded between Travelocars and its customer. Youi can conclude such an agreement by phone or directly on our website. Full deposit compensation covers additional expenditures the car rental company lays on the car renter in the event of a road traffic accident inclusive of the damage of the mirrors, windows, roof, tires and running gear of the car in the total amount of up to € 3000. This agreement is in force in the following cases:
    — damage received by the rental car in a road traffic accident inclusive of the damage to the mirrors, windows, roof, tires and running gear;
    — damage in the event of car theft;
    — damage in the event of losing the car keys;
    — damage to the car in the process of stealing customer’s personal clothes. The company is not liable for the items the customer left in the car.
    You can get more detailed information about the advantages of full deposit compensation by contacting our customer service department. Please, take into account that the car rental company does not know that you have concluded such an agreement. That is why you can be offered an additional local insurance policy when receiving a car. In this case, this local policy is not compulsory.
