When you see the Marienburg Castle (Marienburg Castle), you understand where W. Disney got his ideas from. This is not fiction, this is reality! But is there such a fabulous attitude towards tourists?

Those who are used to traveling on their own and sightseeing without a guide and tour groups can rent a car in Germany at a rental office and not depend on anyone. Renting a car in Berlin will cost an average of 16 euros per day, in Düsseldorf from 14 euros per day.

The charming fabulous Marienburg Castle is located 30 km from Hannover (Germany).

The castle was built between 1858-1867 as a birthday present from King George V of Hanover to his wife Marie of Saxe-Aldenburg.

Lovely castle exterior with fabulous courtyard. Now there are two cafes where you can not only have a bite, but also celebrate a holiday. An adult ticket costs 9 euros. After purchasing a ticket for the tour, you will be given an audio guide if necessary. Audio guides are available in different languages, including Russian. The tour lasts approximately an hour.

In the castle, during the tour, you will be guided through the halls and rooms, through the kitchen and the chapel. Tours start every half hour, but there may be slight changes. In the castle it is forbidden to take pictures, touch objects, eat and drink!

But the overall impression was slightly spoiled by our guide. Children are forbidden to laugh, talk, walk, and generally breathe... I think it was necessary to indicate that children are allowed to enter the castle from the age of 6-7.

If you are traveling without children, then this is a great place! With children, it is quite difficult to endure the tour.

The castle can be reached by bus or by car.
