Berlin is the capital of Germany. This city lies on a Spree river. It would seem that this name is rather unusual, but for the German language it is quite normal. Berlin is a large city with about three and a half million inhabitants. And yet it is visited by hundreds of tourists every day.

For a comfortable trip, many tourists prefer to use car rental services in Germany. The average cost of renting a car in Berlin is 14 euros per day, in Hamburg - 15 euros per day.

Berlin is the political and educational center of Germany. It has a lot of houses of Parliament. Also in Berlin there are 3 universities and many institutes. Berlin is also considered the cultural center of Germany. Some tourists think that the German capital is not of great interest because there are no attractions. In fact, there are many of them here.

First of all, this is the Brandenburg Gate - a symbol of the capital of Germany. The Brandenburg Gate is a majestic triumphal arch. It is located in the center of Berlin, on the famous Parisian Square and reminds the natives of Berlin that once it was possible to enter the city through this gate. The Brandenburg Gate consists of 12 columns made in the ancient Greek, Doric style. At a height of twenty-six meters, a statue of Kvardigi, the patroness of Berlin, rises above the gate. She is also called the Goddess of Victory.

The second famous and popular attraction in Berlin is the Reichstag statue. This building reminds the inhabitants of the city of the sad events of the first half of the twentieth century. And it happened in 1933, on February 17th. That night, a fire broke out in the Reichstag building. Everyone knew that the fire was set up on the orders of Hitler, but the city authorities announced that the fire was a planned action by the German Communist Party. From that moment, Hitler's hegemony began, which first reigned in the German lands, and then spread to the rest of the countries of Western and Eastern Europe. After this fire in Germany, there was no more mention of democracy.
